The five parishes of Boharm, Botriphnie, Grange, Keith and Rothiemay
together make up the central portion of Historic Banffshire.
Many have ventured forth from these shores to the far flung
reaches of Empire and beyond in search of fame and fortune.
Others have rarely strayed beyond the confines of their native
parish. Some have come from afar to settle in the fertile lands of
Strath Isla.
All have made significant contributions in their own particular
field, from business and administration to academia, literature
and sport. Others have served their country with great distinction
and valour and have received military and civilian honours.
